The Wisconsin Union team will begin its annual, months-long outdoor entertainment and dining festival, called Terrace season, with the return of its iconic Terrace chairs to the outdoor space the Memorial Union Terrace on April 16, followed by a Terrace Chair Return Party on April 18 from 3-6 p.m.

The flavor lineup of Sunburst Sparkler — locally crafted, fruit-infused, caffeinated sparkling beverages created by the Wisconsin Union and Karben4 teams — has expanded with two new flavors, Kiwi Berry Bang and Raspberry Ginger Rush.

The Wisconsin Union team has introduced its second-ever Terrace-themed plushie, Ray Laken, a yellow Terrace Chairling.
They can now be purchased exclusively at Memorial Union and Union South Badger Markets and online at terracestore.union.wisc.edu as can the first Terrace Chairling plushie, the green Maple Fields, which went on sale in November 2024.

Award-winning ensemble Goldmund Quartet will perform chamber music on Feb. 21, and YAMATO will perform Japanese taiko drumming on Feb. 22 at Shannon Hall at Memorial Union as part of the Wisconsin Union Theater (WUT) season.

Set in the late ‘60s in Pittsburgh, Penn., August Wilson’s “Two Trains Running” brings to Shannon Hall for one night only on March, 19, and as part of the Wisconsin Union Theater season, a story of a predominantly Black community seeking connection and justice during the civil rights era.
Solemn Brigham, rap prodigy and half of the acclaimed hip-hop duo Marlowe, will perform selections from Marlowe’s albums in Madison, Wis., on Jan. 30 at 8 p.m. at the Play Circle Theater as part of the Wisconsin Union Theater’s (WUT’s) Black Box Sessions.

Rap duo Smif-N-Wessun, comprised of artists Tek and Steele, will bring its popular lyrical style to the Play Circle Theater on Feb. 13, 2025, at 8 p.m., as part of the Wisconsin Union Theater’s (WUT’s) performing arts series, the Black Box Sessions. This event replaces the previously scheduled performance by th1rt3en.

An annual tradition for more than 80 years, the nonprofit Wisconsin Union’s winter-themed event series Winter Carnival returns Feb. 6-9, 2025, with more than 30 events, including bringing Lady Liberty to Lake Mendota and a freestyle skiing and snowboarding competition.
