Wisconsin Union Catering provides planning and coordination for any size wedding reception, anniversary party and other special events. The beautiful rooms and spaces in the Memorial Union and Union South offer a unique backdrop to your dream day. 

 

Book A Wedding

  • From start to finish, here are the steps toward your walk down the aisle at the Union:

    2 Schedule a Tour

    3 Submit an Inquiry

    4 Attend a Wedding Tasting

    5 Get Married!

     

  • Membership

    In order to host an event at the Wisconsin Union you must be a current member. If you are not currently a Wisconsin Union Member, we invite you to join. Your membership number will be required at the time of booking.

    Booking Timeline 

    Members are able to reserve space up to 1.5 years in advance. On the 1st of each month, we open our books for the 18th month out, and begin accepting reservations (E.G. On January 1st 2024 we open our books for July 1st 2025)

    We process all requests on a first-come-first-served basis. Submit your request here.

    Deposits & Fees

    We require a $2,000 payment to secure your date. Half of this payment ($1,000) is a one-time special service fee, and the other half ($1,000) is the first of two deposits*. 

    6 months before the event, we will ask that a second, $3,000 deposit be paid. 

    *The $4,000 in deposit payments made is non-refundable & non-transferrable, but is applied towards costs incurred at the event. See our Rates & Policies guide for more detail.

  • Entrée & Wine Tasting Dates:

    Sunday, November 3th, 2024 - 1:00pm-3:00pm - Varsity Hall at Union South

    Sunday, March 2nd, 2025 - 1:00pm-3:00pm - Great Hall at Memorial Union

    Hors D'oeuvres & Signature Cocktail Tasting Dates: 

    Sunday, February 16th, 2025 - 1:00pm-3:00pm - Tripp Commons at Memorial Union

    Reservations are required - please contact the Campus Event Services Office at least 2 weeks in advance to register at (608) 262-2511 or events@union.wisc.edu. 

    Catering Menus & Info

  • The Wisconsin Union offers a wide range of audio/visual and presentation equipment for weddings at Memorial Union & Union South.

    Event equipment can be reserved through your wedding planner as soon as your event is scheduled. Our friendly team of event and building managers are available to assist you with your rented equipment use or answer any questions on the day of your event.

    You may bring in your own equipment, but we cannot provide technology support for non-Wisconsin Union equipment.
