Opening at

Sett Recreation

Climb, bowl, shoot pool, play games, and hang out at The Sett, the center of recreation at Union South.  Sett Recreation is located on the lower level of The Sett Pub.  Play until your heart is content, then head upstairs to grab a bite, hang out and watch all of your favorite sports at The Sett Pub.

Climbing Wall Hours

  • Monday: 12 - 1:30pm, 5 - 9:30pm
  • Tuesday: 12 - 1:30pm, 5 - 9:30pm
  • Wednesday: 12 - 1:30pm, 5 - 9:30pm
  • Thursday: 12 - 1:30pm, 5 - 9:30pm
  • Friday: 12 - 1:30pm, 5 - 9:30pm
  • Saturday: 2 - 7pm
  • Sunday: 2 - 7pm

Sett Rec Pricing & Details

  • 2023 Spring 9-Ball Pool Tournament

    Sunday, February 12 | Sett Recreation Area, Union South | Free Practice at 12:00pm | Tournament from 12:30 to 6:00pm

    ENTRY FEE: No Fee

    FORMAT: This will be a 9-Ball tournament

                     The format will be double-elimination, race to three (explained prior to play)

                     The format may be modified depending on the number of participants

                     Blinds, if needed, will be randomly assigned immediately prior to play

                     BCA rules will be used

                     Other tournament details will be based on participation and announced prior to play

    SIGN-UP: Registration will begin Monday, January 30

                     Participants will register at the Sett Recreation desk

                     Maximum number of players = 32

                     Registration will be open until play begins or until 32 players register

                     A waiting list will be available if the sign-up sheet fills up prior to the tournament date

    PRIZES:

    • 1st Place: Cuetec 3-in-1 Cue Tip Tool ($21)
    • 2nd Place: Toam Pyro Cue Chalk ($20)
    • 3rd Place: Amamith Blue Logo Pool Ball ($14)

    TROPHIES:

    • 1st Place: custom built 9-ball scepter ($20)
    • 2nd Place: custom built medium size 9-ball trophy ($10)
    • 3rd Place: custom built small size 9-ball trophy ($8)
    • Engrave and ship plates for trophies; note that this will be done AFTER the tournament so the winners’ names can be included on the plates ($15)

    All participants will get free popcorn during the tournament ($20)

    Estimated value of prizes, trophies, & premiums = $128
