Discounted UW Department Hotel Rates
Whether you are hosting a seminar speaker or bringing in a job candidate, help them experience our vibrant campus with a stay at the Wisconsin Union Hotel. Our comfortable rooms are just steps away from amenities including Union South’s many dining options, an on-site fitness center, and more.
We offer a limited number of UW / GSA rate rooms per night, excluding select special-event dates. The GSA rate is a maximum lodging allowance set annually by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) to ensure government employees travel on a set budget. The rate is equal to the rate for Madison as determined by the GSA. This may differ from the Wisconsin “state rate.” To find the current allowance for your travel dates, you can use the official GSA Per Diem Rates Look-Up Tool.
Parking is not included, but is available on-site for $18 per vehicle per night. There is a fee of $20 for a second person in each UW / GSA room and a fee of $10 per person per night each for a third and fourth person.
