Wisconsin Union Directorate

What Is Wisconsin Union Directorate?

The Wisconsin Union Directorate (WUD) is the 100%-student led board for the Wisconsin Union, bringing you over 1,000 events annually in the Unions and outdoors through Hoofers. With 12 committees ranging from Film to Cuisine, and six outdoor clubs, there is an opportunity for every student to explore their interests, gain a one-of-a-kind leadership experience, and forge community to create their unique campus legacy!

Lead Your Union:

WUD Officers and Directors ensure that there are always fun and engaging experiences for campus. These leaders are responsible for organizing committees that plan and promote a diverse array of events and opportunities to enrich the campus and greater Madison community.

Want even more involvement? Join a Union Council subcommittee! All UW-Madison students, staff and faculty members, and alumni are welcome to attend any subcommittee's meetings. Meeting dates and times can be found here.

These (mostly free) events, sponsored by Wisconsin Union Directorate committees, are intended for UW-Madison students, faculty, staff and Union members and guests.

An image from a camera looking at a busy street in a non-descript city. There is a timestamp in white text over a black box in the upper left-hand corner. People are moving quickly and are blurred due to the motion. The image is slightly grainy as it is taken from a surveillance camera. There are trees on the opposite side of the street, and buildings and lampposts on the side of the street the camera is on.a
