To be eligible for Wisconsin Union positions, you must be currently enrolled in a college, university, or high school (at least 16). It is not permissible to hire a person as a student hourly employee if they are taking credits merely to be eligible for student hourly employment. Review UW Policy 5003- Student Employment for more information. If school is in break period (summer, spring, winter), applicants must intend to enroll in courses the following semester.
Student jobs with the Wisconsin Union meet United States Visa requirements and work-study program requirements.
Before you can begin working, you must complete your I-9 Form. It's a required step for all new student employees. The I-9 confirms your identity and that you are eligible to work in the U.S. It should be done by your first day.
