Spark Your Creativity at the WI Union Art Camp!

Unleash your artistic side with a week full of imagination and exploration at the WI Union Art Camp. Designed for participants of all ages, this dynamic camp offers a chance to dive into a variety of age‐appropriate art mediums and discover your unique creative voice.

What to Look Forward to

Throughout the week, campers will enjoy hands‐on sessions in:

🎨 Painting – Experiment with color, texture, and technique to create your own masterpieces.

⚒️ Sculpture – Bring your ideas to life in three dimensions using innovative materials.

🧵 Textiles – Explore the vibrant world of fiber arts with projects in weaving, dyeing, and more.

Whether you're a budding artist or simply curious about trying something new, WI Union Art Camp provides the perfect environment to learn, grow, and have fun. Join us for a week of creativity, inspiration, and artistic adventure!

Classes by Age Group

Ages 8–10:

Focus on accessible, engaging projects such as tie‐dye and air‐dry clay.

Activities will include historical context for media and an end‐of‐week Art Show.

This age group will stay in Union South. Indoor art making in the Upper Sett, and outdoor activities like tie-dying outside.

Projects could include:

  • Air dry clay projects
  • tie‐dye
  • fabric dyeing
  • printmaking
  • mosaic
  • collage
  • drawing
  • painting

Ages 11–13 & 14–16:

In‐depth sessions at Wheelhouse Studios exploring ceramics and glass art, alongside advanced techniques.

These age groups will have their main time at Union South, in our large spaces, and will travel 1-2 times to Memorial Union to experience our Wheelhouse Studios.

Activities would include more tailored complex projects with in-depth instructions as appropriate for age groups.
