LuLu Quintet is a homegrown Wisconsin band playing the sparkling French/Romany “hot club” jazz inspired by Django Reinhardt. This unique genre draws on Romany folk, French musettes and early American jazz. Members include Mark Kunkel, guitar; Simon Puleo, upright bass; Tom Klein, accordion and vocals; Phil Schwinn, mandolin; and Kate Zirbel, clarinet and vocals.
