Abeer Najjar is a chef, food writer, and entrepreneur. Abeer will demonstrate Palestinian cooking, we ask questions to her, learn, and eat!

Abeer Najjar is a chef, food writer, and entrepreneur. Born on the south side of Chicago to Palestinian immigrants, her culinary approach reflects her family’s heritage and city upbringing. Abeer works to preserve culture and stimulate conversation about identity by using food as a canvas for storytelling.

Her work has been featured in Teen Vogue, NPR, LifeTime, and other national and international publications and spaces.
At this event, Abeer will demonstrate how to cook Msakhan, a national dish of Palestine. Event attendees will leave with new culinary knowledge, as well as exclusive spice bags to re-make Abeer’s dishes at home! Abeer will also be answering audience questions, so be prepared to listen, learn, and eat!
