Practice printmaking skills and create visual art with WUD Lit as part of MLK Celebration Week.

Celebrate the legacy of Dr. King by creating your own poster inspired by the protest signage of the civil rights movement. Drop in to explore printmaking through stamping, linoleum cutting, and foam etching, with the opportunity to make your own personal zine. Instructions and guidance provided. This event is part of the MLK Celebration: Stone of Hope Week of Events.

This week of celebration at the Union is themed “Stone of Hope,” referring to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s 1965 speech at UW-Madison’s Stock Pavilion. In his speech, Dr. King spoke of optimistic visions for racial equality and highlighted the idea of finding hope in times where it feels lost. Join the WUD Lit community to remember his words and celebrate joy, creativity, and collective resilience!
