Interested in horses or horseback riding but aren't sure where to start? Sign-up for Horsemanship 101!
This program is for beginner riders, or for individuals completely new to the horseworld, to learn the basics. Our HRC volunteers, along with professionals at Koerner Corral, will teach you about horse safety, the equipment we use on our horses (how to put it in, what it is used for), how to lead and groom a horse, riding basics- and so much more!
Instruction will take place at Koerner, about 40 minutes away from campus. Transportation will be provided. Instruction will be spread out across 3 Sunday’s in October (October 6th, 13th, and 20th). We will begin at 10am, and finish by 12pm. It is recommended that participants attend all sessions. The cost of the program is $70 for all 3 sessions. No membership is requied for this event
