The UW Homecoming Parade is a cherished tradition that unites the Badger family, combining the energy of our talented student groups and the warmth of our local community. As the sun sets on Oct. 6th, the heart of Madison will come alive with the joyful sounds of the UW Marching Band, the creativity of spirited floats, and the enthusiasm of participants and spectators alike.
From student organizations showcasing their pride to community members sharing their love for this remarkable city, the parade is a tapestry of Badger spirit, diversity, and togetherness. It's a chance to connect with friends, family, and fellow Badgers, all while celebrating our shared commitment to education, community, and tradition.
The parade will begin on the corner of Gilman Street and Wisconsin Avenue at 6 p.m., proceeding down Gilman Street to State Street, ending on Lake Street at approximately 7:30 p.m. So, bring your Badger pride, your smiles, and your cheers as we march through the streets, carrying forward this time-honored tradition.
We can't wait to see you at the UW Homecoming Parade, After-Party and Concert! While the festivities will take place rain or shine, in the case of extreme weather, any impacts to the events will be posted by 4 p.m. Friday, 10/6.
