Volunteer at GiGi's Playhouse house annual 5k run/walk fundraiser, Dash for Down Syndrome.

GiGi’s Playhouse is a non-profit organization that provides free programs for individuals with Down Syndrome and their families. We’ll be volunteering at their Dash for Down Syndrome, April 25th, an annual run/walk fundraiser! Some volunteer tasks include: event set-up (tables, signage, balloons, activities, etc.), Kids Dash (cheer on runners, direct children of where to run to), Field-Day (help engage participants in games/sports after the walk/run concludes), and clean-up (take down of tables, signage, etc.).

This event is free and transportation is provided!

It is expected that participants will volunteer for the full time. Volunteers will receive a Volunteer t-shirt and name tag to wear (other than that, dress appropriately for the weather). The event will run rain or shine. There will be a coffee truck and a few food truck vendors at the event, however these are NOT free.  We recommend either bringing your own lunch or money to enjoy the food vendor options, and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.

We have 14 spots available on a first-come, first-served basis. Filling out the form does not guarantee your spot, you will receive a confirmation if your spot is confirmed at this event.

This is a high-demand event with limited space. Signing up and failing to attend may affect your eligibility for future travel events with WUD Volunteer Action.
