Join WUD Society & Politics and EmBark as we hear from sociology faculty member and the face behind the Instagram-famous Cats of Madison and Dogs of Madison, Dr. Jason Nolen! While Dr. Nolen discusses the history and societal impacts of companion animals, we’ll also be making fleece cat beds to donate to the Dane County Humane Society. This event explores the deep bond between humans and animals, examining how pets shape our lives, communities, and even social structures. Whether you're an animal lover, sociology enthusiast, or just looking for a fun and meaningful way to give back, this event offers a unique opportunity to learn, engage, and support local shelter animals. All materials will be provided!
This event will take place on Thursday, April 3rd at 5:30 PM in Memorial Union (Check TITU for specific room information).
