Returning for their fourth performance in the Concert Series, “the world’s reigning male chorus” (New Yorker) presents a program inspired by global travel entitled Trade Winds.
We revisit the attachment to China, we owe to composer Chen Yi, with a brand new work by Zhou Tian, setting Chinese poetry and John Masefields eponymous poem. Chanticleer's foundational repertoire of early music will be handsomely represented by music of the sea and the spheres by Monteverdi, Gesualdo, Victoria, and, for the first time Portuguese composer Filipe de Magalhaes.
More information about Chanticleer can be found on their website.
