Celebrate the start of UW Homecoming with a kickoff concert featuring Alvvays and Slow Pulp!
Alvvays’s first two albums topped the United States college music charts. The band is set to release a new album more than five years in the making, titled “Blue Rev,” on Oct. 7.
Opening act Slow Pulp blends psychedelic rock and pop to create music that has generated a national fan base. The band will tour with Death Cab for Cutie in March 2023.
Slow Pulp’s performance will occur from 7-7:45 p.m., and Alvvays will perform from 8-9 p.m. This event has moved indoors to Shannon Hall at Memorial Union due to expected inclement weather. UW‒Madison students have priority seating in Shannon Hall from 6:30-6:45 p.m. at which time all will be admitted to the event, with seating available on a first come, first served basis.
The concert is presented thanks, in part, due to financial support from the Wisconsin Union and the Wisconsin Union Association.

Join WUD Music in listening to some fine tunes performed by Green Street Trio!
Born & Raised in Chicago, IL. La Rosa Noir is known for their unique blend of surf, post punk, and Latin rhythms, tying them to their cultural heritage. Their debut album, “Arellano," named after frontwoman Yeshi Regalado's grandmother's maiden name, pays tribute to her significant musical influence. With storytelling lyrics inspired by personal experiences, the album explores themes of relationships, loss, and self-discovery, set against a backdrop of dreamy dissonance and fiery punk energy.
We welcome all styles of music, comedy, spoken word, poetry, and more to take the stage every Wednesday.
