An introduction to Psychology in the Outdoors that will make you more comfortable and excited for your next adventure!

Do you feel great after spending time out on the water?

Does your best thinking happen when you are out walking around the forest?

Ever wonder why it is so hard to return home after a long wilderness trip?

There are reasons for all of that!  Come to the new Outdoor Explorer Series Course: Psychology of the Outdoors and learn about the benefits, challenges, and psychological effects of exposing yourself to outdoor environments for brief and prolonged periods of time.

  • Learn what the research has said about the effects of being around green and blue spaces.
  • Discuss how to mentally prepare for entry into and exit from wilderness spaces.
  • Strategize ways to feed your wild brain that craves natural contexts in the dead of the Wisconsin winter.

The wilderness is calling (your brain)... and it must go
