Dublin Irish Dance brings “Stepping Out” to Shannon Hall

The Wisconsin Union Theater is proud to welcome Dublin Irish Dance to Shannon Hall on Friday February 2, 2018 at 8 pm. Pricing is as follows: UW-Madison students are $10, Union Members and Non-UW Students are $36/$32/$25, UW-Madison Faculty and Staff are $38/$34/$25, General Public is $40/36/25 and Youth (18 & under) is $20. This dance troupe is comprised of world class Irish dancers who have toured the globe with Riverdance, Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance and Celtic Woman. The all-star cast is accompanied by an eight-member traditional Irish band and vocalist providing backing for the epic story that unfold in “Stepping Out.” 

Dublin Irish Dance will be performing “Stepping Out,” the story of Irish immigrants journeying from pre-famine Ireland through the Great Hunger across the Atlantic Ocean to all the way to the New World and Ellis Island. Choreographed by Anthony Fallon, “Stepping Out” embraces Irish culture while redefining Irish Dance.

This performance is presented by the Wisconsin Union Theater’s Performing Arts Committee. This concert was supported in part by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts and the Wisconsin Arts Board.
