British Invasion! The King’s Singers come to Shannon Hall

The Wisconsin Union Theater welcomes the 2017-2018 Fan Taylor Concert, The King’s Singers, on Saturday, 4/14/2018 at 7:30 pm in Shannon Hall. Prices for the concert are as follows: UW-Madison students are $10, Union Members and Non-UW Students are $41/37/25, UW-Madison Faculty and Staff are $43/39/25, General Public is $45/41/25, and Youth is $20.Tickets may be bought online, by phone at 608-265-ARTS (2787) or in person, see locations and hours here.

Celebrating their 50th anniversary, The King's Singers are widely acclaimed for the quality of their singing and diverse repertoire, which includes over 200 commissioned works from the world's leading composers. The commissioned arrangements come from a breadth of musical genres: jazz standards to pop chart hits, medieval motets to Renaissance madrigals, and new scores by young composers.

The King's Singers were founded in 1968 at Kings College in Cambridge, England. They continually wow audiences across the globe in over 125 concerts a year. The group has won two Grammy awards and was inducted into the Gramophone Hall of Fame for its vocal artistry and excellence.

The concert is presented by the Wisconsin Union Theater’s Performing Arts Committee. This concert was supported in part by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts. WORT, 89.9 FM is the media sponsor.
