NEW! The Wisconsin Union Theater presents the Black Box Sessions: Hip Hop

The Black Box Sessions are intimate, club-style performances featuring a particular genre or theme. This season’s focus is Hip Hop. 

Starting in 1973 in the Bronx, Hip Hop has earned an essential place in the performing arts canon. Join us for a series of high-energy performances in the Play Circle, honoring groundbreaking underground and popular Hip Hop. Highlights include “microphone maven” (Okayplayer) Sa-Roc and dynamic studio artist Blackway.
