The newly renovated venues of the Wisconsin Union Theater are located in the west wing of Memorial Union. For over 75 years, the Wisconsin Union Theater has been a center for cultural activity in the heart of campus.

Wisconsin Union Theater includes the following spaces that support performing arts events:

Shannon Hall
This space features beautifully restored historic features in the house, and many technical upgrades behind the scenes, including improved acoustic isolation, new heating/cooling systems, improved load-in facilities, and many others. (Seats 1165)

WUTheater 380x250 Play CircleFredric March Play Circle
A complete redesign and larger footprint has transformed this space into an intimate space with many outstanding technical features. (Seats 186; room capacity = 300)

WUTheater 380x250 Festival RoomFestival Room
This new space has a sprung wood floor and mirrors and is the same approximate size and shape as the performance area of the Shannon Hall stage. Available as support space to theater users for blocking rehearsals, master classes/workshops, pre-show performer warm-up space, and other uses.
