What is there to eat at the Terrace?
It’s true that the Wisconsin Union is a membership organization, but anyone can visit. Membership is required to purchase alcohol, but you can get up to three guest passes per year by visiting the Memorial Union front desk, a Memorial Union restaurant or café, or ahead of time by visiting union.wisc.edu/guestpass.
Can I bring in food and drinks from somewhere else?
We’ve got everything from brats to gourmet brie sandwiches at more than 10 dining spots located on and around the Terrace. Find out more about the menus at union.wisc.edu/dine.
Is the Terrace Kid-Friendly?
Only enough food and non-alcohol beverages for a party of you (one), and outside alcohol is not allowed. So you can bring your sandwich, but don’t bring a party platter. You can bring a can of soda, but not a can of beer. We do have more than 10 different dining options right on site. Learn more at union.wisc.edu/dine.
May I bring my dog?

What is Terrace After Dark?
No, dogs need to stay the Lakeshore Path, or beyond, except for service dogs, which are allowed.

May I reserve a table on the Terrace?
Just about everything. We’re serving this frozen, fresh goodness from the Babcock Hall Dairy Plant every day at the Daily Scoop and at the Terrace’s BBQ Stand.
Is the Terrace accessible for those with disabilities?
No. Terrace chairs and tables are only available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Are there any rules I should know before I go to the Terrace?
Yes, as of 2016, the Memorial Union Terrace is accessible for all of our members and their guests.
