November 27th, 2018: Homelessness and food insecurity around campus: a conversation with executive director of Porchlight, karla Thennes
Thank you to everyone who attended the talk with the executive director of Porchlight, Karla Thennes. It was an enlightening experience to learn about the social justice issue of homelessness on and off campus, what is being done about it within the Madison community, and what college student can actively do to make a difference. We also heard from student organizations, Campus Food Shed and Campus Kitchens, and how they are combating food insecurity on campus.
