The Union is the home to recreational, cultural, educational, and social opportunities daily. Our student-led programming board, Wisconsin Union Directorate, plans more than 1,000 events within our two buildings and on campus. With 9 committees and 6 Hoofer Clubs, WUD plans thought-provoking, stress-reducing, and fun activities, including live music, films, lectures, political discussions, community service, outdoor activities, and the arts.
Plan your Union adventure for a specific event or activity. There is truly something for everyone at the Union.
The Wisconsin Union buildings feature galleries with rotating exhibits. Works from our permanent collection can be found throughout central spaces and meeting rooms.
Outdoor UW, located on the shores of Lake Mendota, is the outlet for outdoor adventure on campus. With rentals for all seasons and membership in any of the six Hoofer clubs, it's easy to stay active all year long.
Wheelhouse Studios, located in the lower level of Memorial Union, invites you to explore your inner artist. With three studio spaces for classes, groups events, and drop-in DIY endeavors from pottery and photography to glasswork and metal work, to painting and screenprinting and more, Wheelhouse inspires the artist within.
The Sett Recreation, located in Union South, invites you to unwind with a climbing wall, bowling alley, pool tables, and games. There's plenty of room to hang out and watch your favorite sports.
