Why did you join WUD?
I had a really rough freshman year and so I wanted to join some clubs in order to fit in better and find a community on campus that I really connected with so I applied for an AD position in Global Connections because my older sister told me a little about the WUD committees.
What made you stay in WUD?
I loved the atmosphere and the people. I immediately felt welcome and encouraged to take advantage of opportunities. I also enjoyed my position even if it was stressful and sometimes too much to handle. My role forced me to be more open and engage with others more.
What is your favorite part of WUD?
I love the community we all build. Everyone has different experiences/positions/responsibilities, but we all understand what it means to be a part of WUD. I've met so many different types of interest people and I feel like I've grown so much from this community.
What does WUD mean to you?
To me, WUD is an opportunity to learn and grow both professionally and personally.
What would you tell someone who is thinking of joining WUD?
Do it. You won't regret it. I've met so many alumni who still rave about their time in WUD. The experience is really what you make of it. And it's rare to have this much power and responsibility as students.
What is your favorite place in the union?
The WUD Shop on the 5th floor. Nothing beats that view.
