The Wisconsin Union Association has an annual goal of having every board member give to the Wisconsin Union in some fashion. This past year was no different.
For 2016, 96 percent of trustees and 73 percent of associate trustees have donated more than $159,324 to various Union funds. The board encourages members to get a head-start on their 2017 giving. More information about the Union’s current development priorities can be found here.
The Wisconsin Union Association has a giving goal in order to enhance and support development efforts, specifically student programming and leadership. Funds such as the Ted Crabb Educational Program Discretionary Fund encourage student participation within the Wisconsin Union Directorate, the student programming board of the Union.
Donations to the Wisconsin Union Building Fund are used to support the physical improvement, technology enhancements, new construction and renovation of the Wisconsin Union facilities. This also includes the construction of Union South and the restoration of Memorial Union.
A number of Union funds have also been created to honor friends and family, such as the Fan Taylor Fund, which was established by an emeritus trustee to ensure that the Wisconsin Union Theater continues to bring artists of the highest quality to the Wisconsin Concert Series.
Without private support, The Wisconsin Union would not be what it is today: the heart and soul of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Thank you for your continued support of the Union.
