The purpose of the Wisconsin Monologues is to give a space where minority students can share their positive, negative, funny, sad, happy, and/or exciting stories in a space where they can feel validated and understood. Through anonymous submissions, real-life narratives will be collected, paired with volunteers, and read to the general public during a hosted event.
The 3 pillars of the Wisconsin Monologues are
- Awareness of the triumphs and struggles of minority students,
- Community building as stories are shared, and
- Education that can be used to create real change on campus.
