What We Do: The Wisconsin Experience Bus Trip (WEBT) Mission

Connect With Other Campus Leaders And Explore What Makes Wisconsin Unique!

WEBT brings UW–Madison student leaders together to expand on the Wisconsin Idea while traveling and serving throughout the state.

WEBT immerses students in Wisconsin culture, creates connections between various student organizations, and teaches participants about leadership. Participants bring these skills and experiences back to UW–Madison to make a collective difference on campus.

Ultimately, this leads to a cohesive set of top student leaders at UW–Madison with a better understanding of what they stand for through the Wisconsin Idea, who are better prepared to move our campus and Wisconsin forward.

Who We Are

WEBT is an annual, weeklong trip for emerging UW–Madison student leaders on campus to build bridges between campus organizations by fostering leadership, cultural understanding, and community.

Previous WEBT stops have included:

  • Visiting an urban farm in Milwaukee
  • Touring a dairy farm in Cleveland
  • Holding a Q&A with Lambeau Field's Outreach Manager
  • Meeting with leadership at Lac du Flambeau reservation
  • Having dinner with Wisconsin Alumni Association members in Eau Claire
  • Volunteering at a wildlife sanctuary

How Do I Get Involved?

35 student leaders will be selected to participate in this free trip. If you have demonstrated leadership involvement or anticipate a leadership role on campus in the 2018-19 academic year, we encourage you to apply.

Applications for the 2018 Wisconsin Experience Bust Trip will open in the Spring 2018.
