WUD Society & Politics Weekly Discussion

Lecture & Discussion
Wednesday, February 28
8 - 9 pm
Memorial Union | Board Room, 3rd Floor
Cost: Free
This week's discussion will be about the Parkland, Fla. high school shooting, gun rights, and gun activism.
Join Society & Politics for a respectful and engaging discussion about the Parkland, Fla. high school shooting, gun rights, and gun activism.

On February 14th, a lone 19 year old gunman opened fire with an AR-15 assault rifle, which he had legally purchased, on students in his old high school in Parkland, Fla. There was a security guard who failed to enter the building during the shooting. Other details are currently being settled in court. This has sparked a national conversation about gun control and whether the solution involves more guns or less.
