Mental health continues to be an increasingly pertinent issue in societies across the world, and Monday, September 10th is World Suicide Prevention Day. Along with the UHS Suicide Prevention Office and UW Library Services, WUD Society & Politics invites you to head out to the Union South's Marquee Theater for a screening of and discussion on a documentary that addresses suicide prevention: "The S Word." The screening will begin at 6:30 PM - We hope to see you there to support an important cause! A synopsis of the film is provided below.
"A suicide attempt survivor is on a mission to find fellow survivors and document their stories of courage, insight and humor. Along the way, she discovers a rising national movement transforming personal struggles into action."
