Come join us for a presentation on women's resilience around the globe!

Join WUD Global Connections as we listen to three highly regarded professors from our own university present about gender equality throughout the globe. This event will be focusing on feminist movements in South Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa. This panel will be followed by an interactive discussion.

Professor Aili Tripp: “Why the Maghreb (Algeria, Tunisia, and Morocco) Differs from the Middle East in Women’s Rights”

Professor Funda Derin, “Women’s Rights in Turkey: Secular and Conservative Perspectives”

Professor Christine Garlough: "Grassroots feminism movements in India and Human Rights Discourse"

This event is free and open to UW Madison students, staff, faculty, Union Members, and their guests.
