The 2016-2017 Wisconsin Singers show, In Living Color! features powerful vocals, Broadway style choreography, sensational instrumentals and clever humor performed by some of the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s most talented students. The troupe’s Broadway-caliber performances entertain more than 50,000 annually and have represented the UW as “Official Ambassadors of Goodwill” since 1967.
In Living Color! is written by Robert Dietz (arranger for NBC’s The Sing Off!) and choreographed by Broadway professionals Chad Schiro (Bye Bye Birdie, Urban Cowboy) and Kristine Bendul (Cinderella, Movin’ Out). With more than sixty “colorful” songs from timeless legends like Judy Garland and Elvis Presley to such current pop icons as Beyoncé and Bruno Mars, audience members will enjoy every minute of this high energy production. Kids of all ages will laugh out loud as Kermit, Miss Piggy, and even Ghostbusters’ Slimer takes the stage. Wisconsin Singers Band rocks the house with great jazz tunes and a tribute to eighties pop music. Badger fans won’t want to miss the Singers’ rendition of the Fifth Quarter where audiences sing “Varsity,” and dance to “Tequila,” “Jump Around,” and “Hey Baby.”
