Though only active for three years, the Willy Street Chamber Players have quickly become “a highlight of Madison’s classical summer scene” (Madison Magazine). Formed in 2015 out of an informal concert series put on by six close friends, each of them renowned musicians in their field, the group amassed a significant following through a grass roots promotional campaign. Since then, they have proven themselves as one of the most consistently thrilling developments in the competitive realm of classical music.
The Willy Street Chamber Players will be gracing the UW Credit Union Stage as a part of the Summer Serenades program, a classical music concert series running at 5:00pm every other Sunday from July 1 to August 26. This series provides Madison residents the rare opportunity to enjoy free classical music in a casual, open air setting, making it the perfect venue for realizing the group’s mission of delivering engaging classical music to a local audience.
Presented in partnership with the Allen Centennial Garden Summer Sundays in the Garden series.
