Join Society & Politics for a respectful and engaging discussion about the ongoing conflict in Syria, specifically in Eastern Ghouta. We meet Wednesdays from 8-9pm in Memorial Union. Check the TITU board for the exact room location.
Eastern Ghouta is the last major rebel enclave near the government-held Syrian capital of Damascus. Syrian government forces are advancing on several fronts in what has been described as a "scorched earth" offensive. Since the start of the campaign on Feb. 18th, more than 600 have been killed, many of them children.
Hear from GRAMMY-winning drummer and composer Brian Blade and enjoy a live Q&A session. Doors open 1 PM.
