Unwelcome Americans: Racial Profiling in a Post 9/11 Era

Wednesday, November 11
7 pm
Union South | TITU
Cost: Free
In the wake of recent heartbreaking events such as Ahmed and the clock and the beating of a Sikh man, Inderjit Singh Mukker, we think it is important to have a discussion about how racial profiling, prejudice, and hate crimes affect immigrant families in the United States today. Come join Indian Student Association, WUD Society and Politics, Muslim Student Association, and Arab Student Association to discuss, reflect and listen to each other’s stories and opinions. We will be joined by Madhu Soin Ph.D, to facilitate a discussion on how we can handle these types of events and grow from them as a community. Event is free and open to the public and there will be food!
