Union Council is the governing board of the Wisconsin Union. The Council is responsible for reviewing all operations in the building and keeping policies updated to assure we are meeting our patron’s needs and fostering a safe, inclusive, welcoming environment. The five Union Council subcommittees play a key role as the bodies that review policies and operations, explore potential issues and make suggestions for improvement.
The Dining Services subcommittee represents the Wisconsin Union Food & Retail Services operating area, which includes Catering, Markets & Cafes, Outdoor Rentals, Restaurants, and Kitchens. The subcommittee also deals with proposals regarding menu, price, and other operational changes such as meal plan contracts, recycling efforts, and multicultural goals of food service as they pertain to policies.
All meetings are open to any UW-Madison student, faculty or staff member, and alumni. We invite you to attend and have your voice heard!
