Matt Earley, owner of Just Coffee, will discuss fair trade coffee

Join WUD Cuisine and WUD Society and Politics in the first of our joint Transparency of Farming Lecture Series, featuring Just Coffee owner Matt Earley.

Fair trade is a term commonly used in food system discussions to describe the act of paying fair prices to producers in developing countries. Sometimes this involves paying more than market price to ensure the wellbeing of the farmers. We invited Matt Earley, the owner of Just Coffee (and an alum of UW-Madison) to talk about how businesses can participate in fair trade policies while still being profitable. We will also provide Just Coffee samples!
