Thanksgiving Dinner Cooking Workshop

Classes
Friday, November 16
6 - 8 pm Sold Out
Babcock Hall Food Applications Lab
Cost: Free
Chef Yusuf will be preparing 2 turkeys ahead of time—and we will have a workshop on various side dishes!

Join us for our 2nd annual Thanksgiving workshop! Chef Yusuf will be preparing 2 turkeys ahead of time, and then each cooking station will be making a different dish. The side dishes we will be making are: cranberry sauce, mashed sweet potatoes with toppings, roasted broccoli and pumpkin, wild rice, and dessert blue corn pudding! Afterwards, we will eat and share all the dishes to create a complete Thanksgiving potluck dinner. This year we are sourcing the food locally and emphasizing crops that are historically native to Wisconsin. Chef Yusuf will also be providing insight into growing your own foods in Wisconsin and some information on indigenous culture.
