Join us for our 3rd annual Thanksgiving workshop at Babcock Hall. This year, we will be collaborating with the Greenhouse community and Chef Yusuf.
Chef Yusuf will be preparing turkeys ahead of time, and then each cooking station will be making a different dish. The side dishes we will be making are: cranberry sauce, roasted vegetables, collard greens and kale, roasted potatoes, wild rice, and gravy! Afterwards, we will eat and share all the dishes to create a complete Thanksgiving potluck dinner. This year we are sourcing the food locally and emphasizing crops that are historically native to Wisconsin. Chef Yusuf will also be providing insight into growing your own foods in Wisconsin and some information on indigenous culture.
This event requires sign-up through EventBrite. Signing up is a commitment—if you sign up and later realize you cannot make it, email Jiwon at email@example.com. If you sign up and don't show up for the workshop without contacting Cuisine, we will email you with a warning. If you sign up and miss two workshops without contacting us, you will be unable to attend our workshops until the next year.
*This free event is intended for UW-Madison students, faculty, staff, Union members, and their guests.
