Join us to hear from the first of our Spotlight Series, Clinical Associate Professor Claire Gervais, MD with the University of Wisconsin Department of Family Medicine and Community Health in Madison, Wisconsin and how she engages in shedding light on environmental issues.
Claire Gervais, MD is a Clinical Associate Professor with the University of Wisconsin Department of Family Medicine and Community Health in Madison, Wisconsin. She actively works on a number of environmental issues including climate change, pest management policy, eliminating triclosan use, and fragrance sensitivity policy. She serves as a co-president of the Wisconsin Environmental Health Network and co-chair of the City of Madison Integrative Pest Management Policy Review Task Force. She is also a member of Physicians for Social Responsibility and co-chairs the newly formed Wisconsin Health Professionals for Climate Action, a group of health professionals working with public health officials on getting out the message to Wisconsinites that climate change is a public health emergency. She enjoys many outdoor fitness activities including biking and skiing.

Please join WUD DLS for a Spotlight on Claire Gervais on Wednesday, November 20th at 7:30 p.m. The doors of the Play Circle Theater in Memorial Union will open at 7:00 p.m. The one-hour conversation/lecture is open and FREE to both students and the public, and will end with a 30-minute Q&A.
