Society & Politics
Monday, December 4
6 - 7:15 pm
Memorial Union | Langdon Room (4th floor)
Cost: Free
Join WUD SoPo and Professors Annie Jones and Nan Enstad to learn about food sovereignty.

Let’s face it: the capitalist food production system is complicated, daunting, and shady. Food sovereignty seeks to return the power of food production to Indigenous communities, emphasize sustainability, and focus on “food for people.” Professor of Extension Dr. Annie Jones and Buttel-Sewell Professor and the community and environmental sociology department chair Dr. Nan Enstad are sharing their expertise at a guest lecture to answer the question, “What is food sovereignty?” Join us on December 4th at Memorial Union in the Langdon Room (4th floor) at 6 p.m. to have all of your questions answered.
