An introduction to camping and trip planning that will make you more comfortable and excited for your next adventure!

This class will focus on everything else you need to know and do to prepare to put the new skills you are gaining into practice and plan a back-country camping trip. This class will briefly cover logistical considerations such as for organizing your trip such as: permitting, gear, food, self-care, first aid, emergency planning, etc.

Upon completion of this class, participants will:

  • Have a better idea of the necessary things they need to be thinking about before planning their trip. 
  • Have an opportunity to examine the pieces of gear that they would need for a trip. 
  • Ask questions about trip planning and get ideas for where they can plan their next trip.
