oin WUD Global Connections as we listen to and participate in a panel focusing on gender discourse and the many forms of violence against women perpetuated today. This event is to bring awareness to International Day for Elimination of Violence Against Women, which is on November 25th.
We will be having three panelists speaking on different aspects of violence against women. Our first panelist will explore the sexualized representation of Asian women in the U.S. in film. Our next panelist will be discussing resilience and feminist movements in Mexico and Canada and how the political recognition of gender and gendered subjects serves U.S. national and international interests. The third speaker will discuss gendering the refugee crisis.
