Darol Anger and Mike Marshall are two seasoned masters of contemporary strings. They first came together in 1978 in a quintet, and later co-founded The Duo. They maintain a strong presence in the acoustic music world, and have performed worldwide.
Violinist Darol Anger is proficient in several musical genres including progressive bluegrass and chamber jazz, some of which he invented himself. In 2010 he was named an Associate Professor at the Berklee College of Music. He has released several albums.
Mike Marshall is an expert in a number of instruments, including mandolin, guitar, and violin. He performs bluegrass, Brazilian music and more, and has toured with countless contemporary acoustic musicians and released several albums. He and Marshall teach mandolin online at the Online Mandolin School.
