Formed in 2009 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Mandolin Orange is singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Andrew Marlin and violinist/guitarist Emily Frantz. They have released four albums and broke quickly onto the folk and Americana scene with their 2013 acclaimed “This Side of Jordan” which NPR Music called “effortless and beautiful” and placed on its list of Top 10 Folk & Americana Albums. American Songwriter called it “honest music” with an “unfakeable intimacy.” Mandolin Orange has performed at the iconic Newport Folk Festival and Pickathon, and toured with Willie Watson, Gregory Alan Isakov, and The Wood Brothers. Following that success came their fourth album, 2015’s “Such Jubilee" which Rolling Stone called “a secret to share, and that’s part of the charm”.
