Canada’s Lemon Bucket Orkestra takes the traditional, brass-centric sounds of Balkan folk music and fuses it into a roaring, celebratory and endlessly danceable anthems. The dozens-plus ensemble has generated an impressive amount of buzz since its origins as a modest street performing quartet, amassing a devoted fan base drawn to their idiosyncratic style and raucous live shows. Furthermore, the group earned the title of Toronto’s best band of 2015 in a reader’s choice poll conducted by the popular local magazine, Now.
Stop by the Festival Room in the lower level of Memorial Union at 6pm for a free dance workshop with the band!
