Join us for the beautiful sights of the Kites on Mendota event, produced by Clean Lakes Alliance, supported by the Wisconsin Union and The Edgewater Hotel.
On Saturday, February 6th and Sunday, February 7th, the popular Kites on Mendota will bring large show kites to the lake. Flown by the Wisconsin Kiters Club, the large show kites, which have become a popular fixture of Frozen Assets, will fly directly in front of The Edgewater. However, this is not the only area people can view the event. Other prime viewing spots include our Memorial Union, James Madison Park, Tenney Park, or anywhere along the southern shoreline of Lake Mendota. The roughly two-dozen kites will fly from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both days, weather permitting.
Please remember to wear a facemask, practice physical distancing and other public health guidance related to COVID-19 when joining us.
