Social Justice 2020-2021 Internships Application Deadline

Six different positions available helping to further social justice. Apply by May 11.

Calling ALL students (undergraduate and graduate) who are passionate about advancing social justice issues, such as racial justice; access to education; access to clean food, air, and water; criminal justice and prison reform, access to healthcare; LGBTQ+ rights; women’s rights; voting rights; economic justice; immigrant justice; access to education; building collaborations working on common goals, and more.

The Social Justice Hub internships provide purposeful out-of-classroom hands-on education to develop skills to engage in social justice work and an opportunity to improve the quality of life for all. Interns are involved in creating and presenting education programs; collaborating with social justice organizations on campus and in the broader community; recruiting and supporting newly involved students, and teams of students, working on social justice programs, and so much more.

Social Justice Hub Internships 2020-2021 are open for:

  • Social Justice Campus Outreach Internship
    Active engages in outreach to classrooms, resident halls, campus groups and more increasing student volunteering on social justice issues with the Hub
  • Social Justice Intake Internship
    Create a welcoming environment for new Hub volunteers, help to onboard and orient, and check-in frequently with volunteers to increase feelings of being connected and useful.
  • Social Justice Operations Internship
    Support all behind-the-scenes activities of the Hub working well including updating useful resource materials, updating Google lists, and spreadsheets and anything else to help the Hub be effective..
  • Social Justice Special Events Internship
    Assist in the planning and implementation of Social Justice Hub events, programs and ceremonies including Open Houses, spring Social Justice Symposiums, Awards Ceremony and more.
  • Social Justice Education Coordinator
    Coordinate and further develop Social Justice education programs including Dialogue-Based Facilitator Workshops, Social Justice Peer-Facilitator Training, 5-Minute Trainings; maintain outlines, PowerPoint presentations; coordinate scheduling of trainings and workshops.
  • Social Justice Porchlight Internship
    Educate and publicize about homelessness, across campus; highlight successful clients, promote campus awareness of Porchlight’s role serving the homeless; support and promote Porchlight Product merchandising.
