Interfaith Dialogue: Role of Religion in Life
Come join us for this years first Interfaith Dialogue!
Come join WUD Global Connections, Muslim Student Association, The Crossing, Hillel, Madison Hindu Student Association, Atheists Humanists Agnostics, Baha’i Campus Association, and Sikh and Shinto Students as we take part in our first interfaith dialogue.
The Interfaith Dialogue series is a multi-part discussion series where we take subjects and issues that are prevalent throughout all religions, and hold small group discussions made up of students and campus members of varying faiths and spiritualities.
We invite all students, no matter the faith, to join us for our first topic: The Role of Religion in Life. For this topic we will be discussing not only the roles in which we feel religion should and does play in our life, but also how media perceives and portrays different religions around the world, and the stereotypes and misinterpretations that we face when dealing with outsiders to our own faiths due to these portrayals.
This conversation is meant to be both inclusive and open, as we would like to foster friendships between those of different faiths, as well as incite necessary conversation through different viewpoints and opinions.
This event is open to UW Madison Students, Staff, Faculty, Wisconsin Union Members, and their guests.
