inDIGenous Jazz Series: Father Sky

  • Father Sky Slider Image

Anthony Deutsch, the main creative force behind the Father Sky trio, makes stripped down, highly introspective odes for uncertain times. A classically-trained pianist, Deutsch has been perfecting his craft since 2000, and cites a diverse cast of artists (including Paul McCartney, Brad Mehldau, and Nina Simone) as some of his key influences. Backed by John Christensen on bass and Devin Drobka on drums, the music of Father Sky exudes vulnerabilitydelicate, introverted soul songs that evoke to feelings of aimlessness and self-doubt.

To learn more, visit Deutsch's website.

Come see him live this Friday, and be sure to catch the upcoming artists in our 2018 inDIGenous jazz series.
